The penultimate match saw Bacup travel to Colne to take on the league leaders. Bacup lost the toss and unsurprisingly were asked to bat first. Key batsmen Newbitt and Serasinghe both departed early and it was left to Collinge to try to hold the innings together. Collinge made 27 whilst Bradford with 21 and Thompson with 20 were both looking good before giving their wickets away as Bacup were again bowled out cheaply for 106 with overs to spare despite rain reducing the game to 44 overs.
Colne made a shaky start with Serasinghe picking up two wickets in the first over. However, the arrival of Colne's professional at the crease settled any nerves as he eased his way to 70 not out as Colne cruised to victory by six wickets. The match was notable for 14 year old Charlie Gansler ( 2 for 16) picking up his first Lancashire League wickets. In claiming victory Colne assured themselves of promotion to division one and need two points in their last match to claim the title.
After finishing third in their league the third eleven travelled to Norden to play the first of their two second phase matches.
Bacup batted first in a reduced 32 over game and despite half centuries from both Charlie Gansler and Josh Holt could only muster 130 all out with no other contributions. Despite two wickets from Niall Boardman in a good opening spell Norden cruised to victory by 7 wickets.
